Racing Arcade
What Makes Racing Arcades Great?
Anyone can immediately play our racing arcades because it doesn't require high skill. It's a simple approach; you have your steering wheel, your gas petal, and brake pedal. You press the petal to the metal and steer in the right direction. A key feature of arcade racers that specifically distinguishes them from simulation racers is there are more liberal physics. In real racing (subsequently and simulation equivalents), the driver must reduce their speed significantly to take most turns whereas arcade racing games generally encourage the player to "power-slide" the vehicle to allow the player to keep up their speed by drifting through a turn. Collisions with other racers, track obstacles, and traffic vehicles are usually much more exaggerated than simulation racers as well.
